Weatherization Assistance Program
Lower energy bills. Safer homes. Year-round comfort.
Our Weatherization Program helps low-income families improve home energy efficiency, reducing utility costs while creating a healthier, safer living environment. Priority is given to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and families with children.
Weatherization Mission
“To reduce energy costs for low-income families, especially the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and children by improving home energy efficiency while protecting health and safety.”
Why Weatherization Matters
- More than 7 million homes have been weatherized nationwide since the program began
- Families save an average of $372 per year on energy costs
- Weatherization can reduce overall energy use by 15%–40%
- Over 68,000 homes were improved in a single recent year
- Every $1 invested generates significant returns through energy savings and health benefits
- Participants may also see reduced medical costs and improved indoor air quality
- The program supports thousands of local jobs and strengthens community economies
Repair & Replacement Program
When heating or cooling systems fail, quick support matters.
This program helps eligible households with:
- Emergency repair or replacement of non-working heating systems
- Assistance with central air conditioning (when eligible)
Our goal is simple: ensure every household has safe, reliable heating and cooling—no matter the season.
