Senior Programs
The Older Americans Act of 1965 (Title III) is a federal program designed to support adults age 60 and older with essential services that promote independence, health, and well-being.
Through this program, eligible individuals can access:
- Nutrition services
- In-home and community-based support
- Health and wellness programs
- Elder rights and advocacy services
All adults age 60 and older are eligible to participate.
Senior Nutrition Sites
Our Senior Nutrition Centers offer more than just meals – they provide connection, activity, and support.
Participants enjoy:
- Nutritious meals meeting Dietary Guidelines (at least one-third of daily needs)
- Social activities, exercise, and group outings
- Transportation to and from the center
- Opportunities to connect with others
- Access to additional supportive services
Home Delivered Meals
For seniors who are homebound or unable to prepare meals, our Home Delivered Meals Program ensures consistent access to nutritious food and regular contact.
Program highlights:
- At least 5 meals per week meeting USDA guidelines
- Friendly check-in calls for added support and safety
- Eligibility for spouses or disabled household members when appropriate
If demand exceeds capacity, applicants may be placed on a waiting list – early enrollment is encouraged.
Contributions:
Suggested donations are based on income, but no one is ever denied service due to inability to pay.
Support Services
PRIDE offers a variety of services to promote healthy aging, including:
- Health screenings
- Health education
- Wellness-focused programs
Transportation
We provide reliable transportation for seniors to:
- Senior centers
- Grocery stores
- Pharmacies
- Local shopping destinations
In-Kind Donations & Volunteer Opportunities
Community support makes a difference. We gratefully accept donations such as:
- Personal care items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, body wash)
- Incontinence supplies (Depends, TENA wipes, denture care items)
- Lotions and hygiene products
- Craft supplies
- Volunteer time
